weekends are just so nice to sleep in. and cooking does make pple tired. haha~ thurs i've had 7ppl invited over for dinner, so that added up to 10 for dinner! its definitely the first time i've cooked for so many pple! n its quite exciting =) cooked fried rice n yam paste. i would say i like the fried rice quite alot, n its better than the other time i cooked at gf's place. the yam paste is not bad too, but no amount of sugar added can make it sweet (i think huiming had added half a pack of sugar alrdy... haha but it refused to taste sweet. so imagine how much sugar the orh ni outside contained...), and the gingko nuts are bitter. hmmm...

huiming cooked this fantastic chicken wing dish w coke. its definitely one of the nicest dishes ive tasted in beijing, n it reminded me of mummy's cooking! hehe shall go kop the recipe frm her n surprise my mummy nxt time! the two yrs in beijing, in kaka's words, are more like housewife training sessions than actual learning of tcm. hahaha~ but its really quite fun to cook. i swear my yam peelin skills are improving tremendously!

love changing arrangement of rooms. i think since i've moved in, ive changed at least 7 times. lucky i have two beds and relatively enough space to play with!

i scotchtaped up my windows... when winter is gone n spring has come (meaning the heater is gone too... sob...) couldn take the cold n finally mustered up enough energy to scotchtape up my windows. shld have done it ages ages AGES ago! haha~ but it was done! n my room's temp rised by a few degrees (or maybe its purely in my mind. haha).

witnessed one of the worst sandstorms in beijing. (actually, i slept thru it. zzzz!!!) but the nxt day also got abit, haha. the whole sky was orange (according to kaka n online photos) and its horrible pollution to the lungs. haha~ but still, its quite pretty, not the sunset kind of orange, but bright bright orange. so cute. endured one of the worst winters of beijing too. 40 yrs coldest. its not a v nice thing to endure, and many a time i wondered why am i suffering here in the cold and not back in sg with a risk of skin cancer. zzz... but here's good news. when u suffered the worst in 40yrs, u can kinda expect the following yr's winter to be less harsh, and more tolerable! yay~

anyways, this yr's last snowfall was v late too, in april! really april's snow sia. haha. i couldn mask my disappointment when i landed on beijing on 28th feb n still see snow covered grounds. but i got over it. finally now many flowers bloomed and are a pretty sight. but im not very much moved by them, unless i have baobei around to take picts for me! haha~ emo again.

glad that baobei enjoyed his bdae surprise! i shall expect a blog entry frm him regarding the surprise when his annoying fyp n exams finish! jiayou baobei~!!! btw, u still sucked! hehehe~

the book Dear John is nice. esp for us cuz of the two yrs separation n all that. yea. separation from my darlin as well as mummy. lucky mummy is forever so healthy. hehe~ i miss mummy!!! n her food!! yum yum!
